Carl is a stunning 3 year old Gypsy Vanner cross gelding standing 15.1 hands tall and BEAUTIFUL! He RIDES and DRIVES single or double! With his eye-catching looks, gentle disposition, and willing attitude, he’s the kind of horse that turns heads everywhere he goes. He enjoys exploring new places and is comfortable riding out alone or in a group, he has had lots of experience with crosses creeks, logs, ditches, goes thru brush and thickets, dragging logs, hog hunting, working cows, and crossing rough terrain with confidence and takes new obstacles in stride. He travels great, stalls quietly, and eats and drinks great away from home. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing trail partner or a horse to enjoy on weekend adventures, Carl is the kind that gives his rider confidence. In the arena, Carl has smooth, comfortable gaits and is equally impressive under English tack. He carries himself beautifully, has a soft mouth, collects nicely, works well off your leg, and picks up both leads with ease, he is a true pleasure to ride. He willingly floats over small jumps with an easy, natural style, making him a fun prospect for someone interested in hunter, jumper, or eventing. He also rides nicely Western and has the versatility to go in whatever direction his next owner chooses, he has a beautiful sitting trot, extended trot, as well as a slow collected lope. Carl side passes, opens and closes gates, counter arcs, collects up in the bridle, has a good stop, and even rides double! My 11 yr old girl has been roping the calf sled on him and he is doing AMAZING! One of Carl’s standout qualities is that he also drives exceptionally well. He is easy to harness, stands to hook him up, handles himself with confidence, and makes driving just as enjoyable as riding. It’s not often you find a young horse that is equally broke to ride and drive, making him a wonderful all-around partner for a variety of disciplines. Carl has excellent ground manners and is easy to catch, lead, groom, saddle, harness, load, haul, and ties quietly. He enjoys attention, has a kind personality, and is eager to please. One thing about him is he loves water! We keep a water sprinkler out in Carls pasture and he LOVES to stand in it. Carl is easy to keep, we don’t have any special regimen for his hair, it stays thick and healthy year around. He is UTD on farrier, dewormer, and vaccinations. He is 100% sound and can stay barefoot.
