We are looking for a new home for Edelsgårds Lacosta with an experienced and empathetic rider who will accompany her on her further journey. The rider in the videos are 182 cm tall and with long legs!

About Lacosta
Lacosta has been sold by her danish breeders and her potential was recognizable early on. Unfortunately, she got a teenage rider who was more interested in party than her horse, and the basic training was somewhat neglected. She came to us for corrective training because she could no longer find the necessary relaxation. Due to her impeccable character, with a lot of patience and consistent, horse-friendly work at the foundation, we have rebuilt her. She was allowed to calm down, build trust, and was learned how to behave. Today, she presents herself well and motivated under the rider, and her rhythm and relaxation are are stable. She has multiple intelligence and can do dressage, jumping, leisure rides in the forrest alone, presumably she will love hunting and military - as she very much likes to be outside. 
Lacosta has a clean vet check from november 2024 and pictures of her front legs.

Pedigree – Talent for Both Disciplines
Holsteiner Verband Catch is a stallion known for his good jumping skills, intelligens and good ride ability. He descends from the succesfull stallion  Colman (son of Carthago) and a sporty mareline (mareline 890), with the results of very promising breeding, who has sold well on auctions and won prices especially in jumping.


Character and Suitability
Lacosta is an attentive, kind, intelligent horse that shows versatility. At the jump, she demonstrates impressive awareness, combined with a fine manner and good technique. She will take the jump no matter what up to 1 meter - even with a bad distance. We have not jumped higher than this yet. She does not get concerned with decorations on the jumping course - neither with music or speaker.
She is also steadily progressing in dressage – know all exercises untill LA2, she will become a loyal sport partner with potential for both disciplines. Lacosta can do changes to both sides easily.
She is nice to handle and people-oriented in handling, but you can’t give her treats when you sadle her up. She will need time to adjust to a new stable, but after setteling she will be your loyal friend forever. 

Lacosta has som small kind of wind swelling - but she does not bide the trough. She does a little bit on occasions and the vet says it is not a problem and she does it very little when she has settled in her surroundings. You can see it on the videos.

Who is Lacosta Suitable For?
Lacosta needs a calm, structured rider who will further develop her and provide her with more education and a patient approach. She offers a lot of talent for ambitious riders who appreciate a young horse with dual potential and enjoy building her up further. We have build a very good fundation. 

Lacosta would wish for?
Long time on the fields every dag - she is use to this and she does nok work if she spends all day in the stable. She is used to get out every dag fro 7.00-14.00. She has a very good “horse language” and can go with any horse, if the field is big enough.
She likes every trip to ride outside and she happily walks alone. She can look at things, but she never runs away and mostly she just walks with a happy face.
