This handsome, dappled hunk is a 6-year-old Belgian X gelding standing at an impressive 18 hands! This gelding is truly unique for an array of reasons. It’s rare to find one his size with his stunning looks, quiet demeanor, and athletic ability—he’s definitely the full package! ⭐️
Legend is trained both western and English, has been started driving, and has also been started over jumps. He is suitable for a variety of riders! He’s packed plenty of beginners around the ring and is the ultimate guest horse for a trail ride. He’s safe, dependable, and truly one of a kind. 🤩
Legend has been on miles of trails, and his quiet mind speaks for itself! He’s a point-and-go ride in any environment. He’s been trailered to many different parks and acts the same as he does at home. While he’s happy to walk along on a loose rein, he’ll willingly pick up the pace when asked. He has excellent self-carriage, making him easy and enjoyable to trot or canter through the woods and fields. He’ll happily lead or follow in a group, and his favorite thing to do is go for a swim! He’ll walk all the way in and even put his whole head underwater! 😅
This unflappable guy is also 100% traffic safe and has ridden right into town through traffic, stoplights, and busy streets. He’s not afraid of anything! He’s been cross-country schooling and proved himself to be honest and brave over every jump. He even went over the ditch the very first time he saw it! Despite his size, he has a cute jump, an uphill canter, and plenty of get-up-and-go to make an excellent fox hunter, paper chaser, or eventer. He’d also be perfectly happy as that reliable husband or guest horse everyone needs. 💙
In the ring, Legend is straightforward and uncomplicated to ride. He has a solid walk, trot, and canter in both directions. He’ll perform walk-to-canter transitions, and it’s rare to find such a balanced canter in a horse this large! Despite his ground-covering stride, he’s incredibly comfortable and easy to sit. He’s packed his fair share of beginners and kids around the ring and never gets offended or upset by rider mistakes. If his rider becomes unbalanced, his first instinct is to stop. He’s truly worth his weight in gold! 🏆
In the barn, Legend is such a fun horse to have around—everyone loves him! He has a big, puppy-dog personality and will come right up to you in the field. He’s respectful and easy to handle in every way. He’s such a sweetheart he even puts his head down for the kids! He cross-ties and single-ties, stands quietly to be tacked up, brushed, braided, and enjoys any attention he can get! Legend loves a spa day and is always a gentleman for the farrier, (he does not require stocks for shoeing) veterinarian, and dentist. He also doubles as a jungle gym! 😅 Seriously you can crawl all over this guy- slide off his butt, go around the world- he doesn’t have a care in the world! He’s desensitized to the tarp, smoke, ball, flags, dogs, and he has the most curious personality!
This guy is incredible in so many ways and has so much love and life to give.💙 We want to find the perfect home for our Legend boy—after all… he’s pretty legendary. 😉
