Catty is a 6-year-old black grade Quarter Horse mare standing around 15.2 hands. She’s thick made with good foot and bone, athletic, and built to last. She has the kind of willing disposition and level head that’s becoming harder to find.

She’s been exposed to gathering, sorting pairs, and plenty of cattle. She’s comfortable working in a herd and around all the commotion that comes with a busy ranch, including ropes, dogs, four-wheelers, and heavy activity. She has handled every new situation with a willing attitude and an exceptional mind.

Catty neck reins, moves willingly off your leg, has a soft mouth, and genuinely wants to please her rider. She’s been started on the roping dummy on the head side and has taken to it naturally, showing lots of potential. She’s cowy, enjoys working livestock, and has all the tools to continue making a handy ranch or rope horse.

She is an outstanding trail horse and rides quietly whether she’s with a group or out alone. She confidently crosses water, bridges, ditches, logs, and rough terrain without hesitation. Dogs, gunshots, plastic bags, bicycles, passing vehicles, and other everyday distractions don’t phase her. She’s been hauled and ridden frequently and new places don’t seem to bother her.

Catty is easy to catch, bathe, tie, tack up, mount, shoe, load, and haul. She’s an easy keeper and is up to date on vaccinations, dental care, and deworming.

Gentle enough for a confident beginner or intermediate rider with guidance, yet talented and athletic enough for an experienced rider to take in any direction. Her size, bone, athleticism, and outstanding disposition make her one I’m confident she will only continue to get better.

I’m in no hurry to sell her, and she won’t go to just anyone. This is a fun, handy mare with a bright future.
