Fancy is a 5-year-old mare that stands 15 hands and weighs 1,300 lbs. Her name is a perfect description of her—she’s got a keen little head, is heavy muscled, and equipped with solid bone and foot. Fancy is by Metallic Malice, making her Riata Buckle eligible. But that’s not all—she is also eligible for the $100,000 side pot! She is currently paid up and ready to enter!
Fancy is one of the funnest head horses we’ve had in a while. You can count on her to be quiet in the box every time. She scores, runs hard to the cow, has a bunch of natural rate, and has that fancy move that makes handling cattle easy! She’s the kind you could almost close your eyes and still catch the cow—she just makes it that simple. Fancy has been entered on from the 8s and 9s up to the 13s and slides. She’s easy enough for a lower-numbered roper but has the ability for the higher-numbered guys as well.
Fancy has also been heeled on and is just as nice on that side. She reads the cow, stays up underneath herself, and stops hard. She enjoys it as much as we do, and she’s the type that’s always on your team!
Fancy has also been used outside on the ranch and knows a day’s work. She’s extremely broke, with all the buttons. She’ll slide, spin, watch a cow, and then ride off on a loose rein. She’s been Breanna’s number-one pick to take to the all-girl ranch rodeos! If you’re looking for one that’s enjoyable out on the trail, she’s your gal. She’s quiet, and we think one of the best parts about her is that she’s safe. No matter the situation, you can count on her to take care of you. We’ve stuck kids on her to brand calves for the first time, she’s Grandma’s mount when it’s time to move cattle, and whoever rides her has always come back with a smile on their face.
She’s one of the kindest mares we’ve ever been around. She doesn’t have the typical “mare attitude,” and is just so pleasant to be around. Fancy will meet you at the gate ready to go for the day. She’s got that big hearted extra gritty demeanor that you just can’t teach, and we absolutely love her for it. She is sound, healthy, and one we are extremely proud of.
