“Halo” is an 8yr old, 15.1hh, AQHA Gelding. Here is the chance to own your very own “Spirit”!!!! This handsome boy is looking to have fun, keep you safe, and hit the shows with you. Whether you ride western, or english, he has the ability to do it all. Halo is a great all around boy, who enjoys working and pleasing his rider.
Halo can live in or out, goes out with a mixed herd, and gets along well with other horses. He is easy to catch and gentle in the pasture. Halo stalls with no issues such as cribbing, weaving, etc. He is an easy keeper with no maintenance or supplements. He can wear shoes or go barefoot, he has nice hooves, and no soundness or health issues, and he is good for the farrier and vet. Halo loads, trailers and ties to the trailer to get ready. He stands on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, etc. If he is in the barn alone he will move around a little while tied, but stands perfect if there are other horses in the barn. He is the same horse off property and does not need a routine to stay sane. He can sit, tack up and go with no need to lunge etc. Halo is the same horse every ride.
In the ring Halo has beautiful gaits and he is very comfortable to ride. He will walk, jog, trot, canter, and knows his leads. He is responsive to your aids and moves off of leg, pivot, side pass, great whoa, back up, neck reins and will ride with his head where ever you ask. Halo is started on a lead change as well. He would rock it in ranch classes, western dressage, classical dressage, and has been to cow events, sorting and penning. He is a beautiful mover and has his own motor. He is not a “hot” horse, but a forward thinker, making him perfect for performance and having fun. He has the ability to game, lightly started on the barrel pattern for fun, I could see him being a great youth rodeo horse! Halo loves to jump, he has popped over everything that I have asked and has tons of scope, he would love it in the eventing world! When he did the cow sorting and penning, my friend forgot her saddle and competed all night bareback, and she had a ton of fun on him!!! He is happy to take it easy, but has a go button for when you ask.
On the trails Halo is safe with traffic, bikes, dogs, crosses rocks, logs, creeks, bridges, and loves to swim. He prefers to lead, but will follow, he just wants to jog here and there to stay caught up if he falls behind. I have found that he is happier up front. Halo has a lovely walk, but will out walk your group if you are riding with slow horses. He is a business man, and I don’t think that he is the type to pack around your granny or husband, however he will trail ride ALL day long and never miss a beat. He would be an amazing endurance horse, or hunting horse, he has grit and he is game to adventure for hours and hours. He goes wherever you point him, and doesn’t argue. He will be the first one into the water every time!!
If you are looking for a fun, reliable, using horse, here he is. He loves to please his rider, and he loves to work for you. He is bred to work. Halo’s registered name is “Peppers Spike ALena”. He was foaled on 03/28/2018. He is sired by “Docs Pepper Smoke”. His lines go back to well known names such as “Peppy San”, “Smart Little Lena”, “Doc Bar”, “Two Eyed Jack”, “Doc OLena” and more. Halo was bred for performance and grit. And he is a true all around horse.
If you want to see this beautiful boy in your barn, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I want to make sure that he is going to fit perfectly with his forever person. Feel free to contact me for any further information! Shipping can be arranged anywhere!
