“Trusty Rusty” also known as Rusty is a 7 year old 16hh draft cross gelding. Rusty is the sweetest and most inquisitive horse you will come across. He is eager, and alert yet calm and willing to please, no matter what you ask of him. He is a unique bay roan color with nice dark black stockings and a thick mane and tail. He has great conformation and is very well muscled. He will walk, trot, and canter with ease. He knows his leads and has great transitions both up and down. Rusty has a very rhythmical uphill canter and is so easy to ride up to any jump. This boy loves to jump. He pops his knees right up and jumps in beautiful form without unseating his rider. Rusty is like a sponge, you only have to tell him once and he gets it! He will come out the next day giving 110%! In the ring he has been working on his lateral movements, collection, and extension of his gaits. He has beautiful self carriage and is like riding a couch! He can easily navigate a course at 2ft 6 to 2ft 9 and has potential to jump much higher with more schooling. He loves loves loves the trails. He’s been ridden down the road in the woods through water and brush with no issue. He will hack out alone or with company. Rusty has also worked cattle and has been trained to drive as well. He really excels in the arena and in the hunt field making him a prime candidate as a hunt horse, an event horse, or even as a hunter or equitation mount. We adore this boy.
