If you are looking for a versatile gelding that you can enjoy in the arena one day and take out on the trail the next, meet Cash. Registered as YY CASH BOONANZA, Cash is a 6 year old Quarter Horse gelding standing 15 hands tall. He is the type of horse that has been well broke and has a lot to offer someone who wants one horse they can enjoy doing a little bit of everything with.
Cash is very broke in the arena and is equally enjoyable to ride English or Western. He has a nice one hand neck rein, will pivot nicely around, side pass, carry a flag with ease. He is happy to trot around on a loose rein, but when you ask him to collect up and carry himself, he will do that nicely as well. Cash will one step into the lope, catch both of his leads, and can lope around on a loose rein or collected. He also has a big stop and a nice backup and he is responsive without being difficult or overcomplicated to ride.
One of the things we really enjoy about Cash is how willing he is to do whatever you ask of him. Put Western tack on him and go ride around the arena, then switch to English tack and he is just as happy. He will quietly ride around English, go through trot poles, and take small jumps. He pays attention to his rider and is responsive to what you ask of him, making him a fun horse to ride and continue doing different things with.
Cash is not just an arena horse either. Take him outside and he is just as willing and enjoyable. He will trail ride out by himself or go along with other horses. He will cross water, ride through brush and tall grass, and handle rocky or uneven terrain without making a big deal out of it. You can point Cash where you want to go and enjoy the ride.
On the ground, Cash is easy to be around and easy to take care of. He stands quietly in cross ties for saddling, grooming, and baths. He does well with other horses and livestock and also does well living in a stall.
Cash is the kind of gelding that gives you options. He is broke enough to go ride around Western, willing enough to put English tack on and take over poles and small jumps, and confident enough to head down the trail by himself. He is responsive, willing, and enjoys having a job, and we think he will make someone a really fun horse to own and enjoy.
Cash has been a pleasure to ride and have around, and we truly believe he has a lot to offer his next person.
