Vixon is a great ranch horse and has been used to sort, gather, and doctor cattle all over California. Prior to us they mainly trail rode him and showed him in some ranch versatility classes. He has a great slow jog, beautiful lead departures into a slow collected canter, he has soft easy stops and will side pass both directions as well.
This gelding is gentle, kind & willing. We have loaned him to a good friend of ours to go doctor calves up in the mountains of California & he worked great for him the first time he ever rode him. He is a horse you can trust putting new people on and a true gentleman to be around on the ground.
He's great to shoe and he will tie all day, we have him in a 12x16 stall or he is turned out, no cribbing weaving or pacing. He's good to saddle, wash & load.
We've had intermediate kids on Vixon as well without any issues whatsoever.
He takes time off well and has never offered to buck.
Vixon is sweet and wants to be with you all the time. He comes right to you in the barn with no hesitation, waiting to be haltered.
