Shortstop is a pretty red roan 6 year old AQHA gelding. Shortstop has very kind eyes and has an in your pocket type personality. This gelding has so many good qualities and gets better every time we swing a leg over him. He loves attention, and is easy for most anyone to ride him. We have used him as a lesson horse for our 5 year old to learn on, and he is our 7 year olds go to horse right now. He rides him anywhere and everywhere. Shortstop has more whoa than go and is happy to as fast or slow as his rider likes. Shortstop has a reining foundation and was shown extensively all of 2023 in Stock Horse classes, ACHA Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Reining. His 2023 accomplishments include RMOHA Champion in Jr. Reining, RMQHA 6th in Jr. Ranch Trail, top 10 in CoWN, Top 5 in Open Jr. Reining at the AQHA World Show. He was a World Show Qualifer in 6 events. His performance record: He is an earner of 4 AQHA points. In 2023: 5th AQHA World Junior Reining L2 Open; in ACHA competi-tion: reining (Level 3), 1 ranch trail point in open events. He stands around 14.3 hands. Shortstop is no stranger to a days work and has been rode out on the trails, in the mountains and in the arena. Not only is Shortstop fun to ride in the arena but he knows how to maneuver his way around rocks, logs, brush, and other obstacles, and does it with ease. Shortstop rides with his head low, collects up nicely, picks up his leads, spins and has a good stop to him. We have tracked the dummy on him and he gets right in there for a shot. Shortstop is a gentleman to be around, has good manners on the ground and in the saddle. This nice gelding is no stranger to obstacle courses, whips, tarps, noodles, plastic bags, ropes, etc… Shortstop is one of the favorites on the place. He puts a smile on your face every time you ride. He has had many different riders on him and he handles them all with care. This gelding can go in any direction you want to take him.
