Boston is an absolute trail machine. This is where he truly shines — brave, honest, and as steady as they come. He rides on the buckle, stays calm solo or in a group, and has zero issues with wildlife, traffic, or surprises. If the trail is your therapy, Boston is your horse.
In the hunt field, Boston is a total gentleman. He stands quietly at checks, and doesn’t get flustered when the action heats up. He keeps his cool and sets a great example for greener horses. Athletic enough to keep up with the thoroughbreds, but with that calm, level-headed draft cross brain everyone loves.
In the barn, Boston is a dream. He stands like a statue in cross-ties for grooming, bathing, and tacking, and he's just as quiet in his stall — even alone. He picks up all four feet easily, loves attention, and handles kids brushing or running nearby like a pro. He’s polite, never pushy, and loves a good scratch when he sticks his head out of the stall.
In turnout, Boston is easygoing. He’s out 24/7 with mares, geldings, and even a mini cow. He’s not herd-bound, and he's easy to catch — you can lead him in from the field on foot, behind an ATV, or hop on him bareback for a ride back to the barn.
In the arena, Boston is coming along beautifully. He W/T/Cs willingly, is learning to balance, collect and move off of leg pressure. He can trot small circles, adjusting his pace accordingly. Boston is starting to figure out jumping — and best of all, he enjoys it. His honesty and try-hard attitude make every ride better than the last.
