Our sweet “Golden Boy” has truly done it all.
Golden Boy is exactly what his name suggests—kind, dependable, friendly, and SAFE. He is more woah than go and genuinely takes care of his rider. Whether you’re looking for a trustworthy family horse, an amateur-friendly partner, or a versatile gelding that can do a little bit of everything, Golden Boy checks every box.
Ride him on a loose rein in western tack or collect him up and go English. One of our favorite things about him is how easily he transitions between disciplines. One day you can put him together and enjoy a beautiful dressage ride, and the very next day put your husband on him in western tack and cruise around on a slow, comfortable western jog. Did I mention he is extremely COMFORTABLE?!? He effortlessly adapts to whatever his rider asks of him. Talk about VERSATILE.
Golden Boy has been exposed to just about everything imaginable. He has confidently gone through water, worked in indoor and outdoor arenas, trail ridden extensively, and handled every environment we’ve introduced him to with ease. He has also been exposed to gunfire, dogs, deer, cats, bullwhips, flags, and all the everyday sights and sounds of farm life. His unflappable personality and exceptional mind make him a joy to ride and be around.
He is extremely desensitized, kind, quiet, and easy-going. He loves people and has what we affectionately call a “golden retriever personality.” Always happy to see you, always willing to please, and always ready for attention.
Our own 8 year old rider jumps him, and we have trusted him completely to take care of her in the cross country field, on the trails, and in the dressage arena.
