Monte is a beautiful 3-year-old buckskin gelding, a true favorite with a one of a kind mind and disposition that’ll make you fall in love. He has all of the natural beauty that one could hope to find in a lifelong partner and friend. Monte stands 14.3 hh, has all black legs, mane, and tail that contrast against his one of a kind buckskin color. As good looking as he is on the outside, he’s even better on the inside.
He has a kind, willing personality and is as “in-your-pocket” as they come while still being respectful — easy to catch and always wants to be around you, which makes him a hard one to want to get rid of. Monte is no stranger when it comes ranch work. We’ve used him ranch roping, gathering, doctoring, and branding calves, and he has handled every job the right way. Very gentle, yet stays broke—soft in the face and through his body with a clean, responsive handle. We’ve used him extensively in the arena. Monte moves off your leg and the rein easily, side passes, two-tracks, and lopes correct circles on the right lead while staying collected. He does it all on a loose rein and has a breath taking stop. He takes care of his riders like a good babysitter. My 8-year-old nephew rides him around and looks forward to, and enjoys riding him. Monte has been exposed and desensitized to many’s different things including kids, cows, tarps, flags, whips, noodles, balls, ropes, etc. He’s definitely one that’ll win over a crowd for his amazing handle and outstanding looks. Whether you’re looking for your next ranch prospect, trail horse, or leisurely ride in the arena, Monte is one that gets compliments everywhere he goes.
