„Lucy“ – 1,42 m groß, 13 Jahre alte Rasse-Sorrel-Quarter-Horse-Stute… Lucy ist buchstäblich wie ein Fels gebaut! Es gibt kaum eine Stute, die robuster gebaut ist als sie – dazu ist sie schön geformt und absolut auffällig, mit vier weißen Stiefeln und einem weißen Stern im Gesicht! In den letzten fünf Jahren wurde Lucy hauptsächlich zur Freizeitreiterei und auf Trails geritten, stets mit einem erfahrenen Reiter. Sie ist äußerst gelassen, sanft und unkompliziert im Umgang – man muss beim Trab und Galopp ein bisschen antraben, und sie hat mehr „Stopp“ als „Go“.
Diese Art von Pferd, das wir ständig für Familien, als Haustier oder für einen Zweitwohnsitz zum gelegentlichen Ausritt bekommen, ist. Lucy kennt ihre Aufgabe und freut sich, einmal im Jahr oder einmal pro Woche geritten zu werden – sie ist angenehm und einfach im Umgang. Sie bleibt beim Auf- und Absteigen ruhig und geduldig stehen, selbst wenn man etwas mehr Zeit braucht und beim Aufsteigen etwas unbeholfen ist – Lucy wartet geduldig, bis man sich eingerichtet hat, bevor sie losgeht.
Diese Stute ist eine echte Erfrischung, sehr entspannt und angenehm im Umgang. Sie reitet problemlos allein, war schon auf vielen Ausritten im Gelände, Trailrides oder alleine in die Stadt – sie genießt die Zeit und folgt gern deinen Wünschen. Sie hat einen angenehmen Schritt, Trab und Galopp auf losem Zügel, wechselt die Führungen mühelos und hält bei „Whoa“ schnell an.
Sie ist ideal für Einsteiger, für lokale Shows, 4H-Programme oder als zuverlässiges Pferd, um sich an Stock- oder Ranch-Showings zu gewöhnen. Sie ist sehr pflegeleicht – sieht aus, als käme sie direkt vom Weidegang mit den Kühen! Sie ist auch gern im Stall, liebt Aufmerksamkeit, wird gern verwöhnt und im Stall gehalten.
Sie ist verträglich mit anderen Pferden, lebt derzeit in einer kleinen Gruppe gemischter Pferde. Sie ist immer die Erste, die dir den Kopf in den Futterschlauch oder Halfter steckt – sehr lieb und überaus freundlich.
Gute Bodenmanieren, einfach zu bridlen, satteln, putzen, steht ruhig und geduldig beim Auf- und Absteigen, beim Baden, beim Laden in die Waschbox, springt problemlos in den Anhänger und bleibt geduldig stehen.
Lucy wurde letzte Woche beschuht, trägt vorne Hufeisen, ihre Zähne wurden letzten Monat vom Tierarzt behandelt, sie wurde gegen Zecken behandelt und regelmäßig entwurmt. Sie ist auch gut beschuhbar, hat gesunde Hufe und läuft sehr gut barfuß – falls der neue Besitzer sie voll showtauglich oder barfuß bevorzugt, können wir beides vor der Übergabe organisieren.

“Lucy” – 14.2H, 13 year old grade sorrel quarter horse mare… Lucy is literally build like a brickhouse!!! They don’t get much stouter made then this mare – and she’s shapely made and absolutely striking with all four stocking legs and a blaze face! Lucy has been primarily pleasure and trail ridden the past 5 years with a senior rider. She is extremely laid back, gentle, and as uncomplicated to ride as they come – she is one you have to peddle a little at a trot and lope, and has way more “whoa” than she has go. This is the type of horse we get tons of calls about to just be a family pet, or turned out at a second home to enjoy on the occasional weekend. Lucy knows her job and is happy to go for a ride once a year or once a week, she is easy and pleasant to be around. She stands statue still extremely patiently for mount and dismount, even if you need a little extra time and are a little sloppy and uncoordinated getting on, Lucy contently stands there waiting for you to get settled before taking a step off. This mare is a breath of fresh air and very relaxing and easy to be around. Rides easily out alone and has been on many rides around the place, trail rides, or rides to town alone – she enjoys the time and is happy to go where-ever you want to go. Has a nice easy walk, trot, and lope on a loose rein, catches both of her leads easily and has a good quick stop on whoa. This would be a fun entry level local show horse, 4H horse, or a good mount to get your feet wet at the local stock horse or ranch horse shows. Super easy keeper – looks like this coming straight out of living outside with the cows! She is also happy inside, loves the attention and loves being spoiled and kept in the barn. Happy turned out with others, lives with a small group of mixed horses now. Always the first up to you sticking her head in the feed bucket or the halter – very sweet and overly friendly. Good ground manners, easy to bridle, saddle, groom, stands dead quiet and patiently for mount and dismount, bathe, load in the wash racks, hops right on the trailer, and stands patiently. Lucy was just shod this past week and is wearing front shoes, her teeth were also done by an equine dentist last month, she has had her ears treated for ticks, and she was also power packed wormed. She is also good to shoe all around, and has great feet and goes very well barefoot – if her new owner prefers her to be fully show, or to be barefoot – we can have either done prior to her heading to her new home. She will arrive at her new home up-to-date and ready to go to work!
