We are beyond proud to offer LENNY! A beautiful 13-year-old, 14.1 hand palomino gelding that is as gentle, quiet, and friendly as they come. He’s the kind of horse you can trust—perfect for beginner riders or first-time horse owners. He’s safe, he’s dependable, and he’s kid-approved!
Lenny has been used as a jungle gym more times than we can count! The kids climb all over him, ride him bareback with just a halter and lead rope, & he is beyond tolerant of all their shenanigans. He provides hours of backyard fun and peace of mind for parents. The fun doesn’t end there… Lenny is perfect for the kids to ride along on the trail. He’s steady, sure-footed, and confident. Crosses water and downfall without hesitation, goes up & down inclines, navigates rough & rocky terrain, rides out alone or in a group, and always takes care of his rider. Lenny is our go to when we have non horsey guest join us on the trail. We know that he is safe and will provide an enjoyable ride. If you have a child not ready to ride alone or two children that may need to share a horse…no worries. You can put a “buddy seat” behind the saddle on Lenny that allows an additional rider to comfortably come along on the trail.
Lenny is my first choice when I want to saddle up & go ride. I’ve pulled him out of the barn on a cool morning and just headed out. We’ve traveled across pastures, explored trails, went down the road, crossed four lane traffic, visited neighbors, and ridden on in to town. Every single time, Lenny has provided the calm & peace that I was after. He repeatedly reminds me why I love horses.
Lenny has proven he’s the safe & steady type everyone is after, but he also isn’t afraid of a days work. He’s seen big country, logged lots of outside miles, and knows ranch work like the back of his hoof. He’s checked fences. Opened & closed a lot of gates. He’s gathered, sorted, & penned. He’s been used to rope & doctored cattle. Wild or rowdy stock doesn’t rattle him, he’s there to get the job done.
Lenny is pretty exceptional. He’s a pleasure to have around. Always easy to catch, he comes running when I whistle. Stands tied wherever you decide to park him, a gentleman to load & haul. An easy keeper, He can be stalled or pasture kept. Patiently stands for grooming, saddling, mounting, and for the farrier.
