Ernie is an 11 year old dapple palomino gelding standing 14.3 hands. Ernie is put together like a little Mack truck and has the color to match. He had a gentle demeanor and is a very understanding horse. Ernie travels low headed and collected at the poll. He catches both leads effortlessly, and will WTL pretty circles in the arena. He responds softly to rein and leg cues with a really nice sliding stop. Ernie has been used as a trail horse and has moved some cattle around. Ernie has been exposed to all ranch life and commotion. He has been around traffic, dogs, quads and pigs with no issue he is a very sensible horse. Out on the trail, he is as sure footed as you can get and always knows where he is placing his feet and stays aware of his surroundings. He will travel over logs, brush and go through water. He can be turned out with other horses and is low in dominance. He is the kind of horse that really bonds with his rider and will do anything you ask of him. Ernie is great for the farrier and doesn’t mind the clippers or even getting dusted off by the blower.
