Watch Video! Bubba is the kind of gelding that craves attention and loves to be around people. What I like most about him is his go-with-the-flow type of personality. He’s been arena ridden, has checked fence, and has plenty of outside miles under his belt. Versatile as they come, this classy-looking Paint gelding aims to please. With his size, disposition, and training, he would also make an excellent step-up pony for a youth rider ready to move on from a smaller mount.
He does all of the obstacles- the teeter totter bridge, cowboy curtain, whips, tarps, gunfire, and flags are old news to Bubba. He has the brain of a horse twice his age and is very receptive to what is asked of him. Bubba is responsive to your leg and seat cues, with a fun turn around and a deep stop off your seat. While filming his video, we even took him over some small jumps for the very first time, and he handled them willingly and with ease. With his solid foundation and willing attitude, he could also be a great candidate for the english market.
Bubba is a joy to have in the barn. He has been in both a stall environment and turned out on pasture with no bad habits. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry almost any size rider comfortably. Pictures don’t do this cute gelding justice. He has good foot and bone, giving him the opportunity to have a long, successful career.
He has been exposed to it all- farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. Bubba is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health papers. Since stepping foot on our property, he has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but can just as easily point and go. Gentle, flashy, and broke, with unlimited potential!
