Fuchs für alle Fälle

The horse was purchased seven years ago for my adult daughter and has been ridden extensively by us, including in the field. She has been abroad for a year and a half, and I don’t feel comfortable handling him alone as I believe I should with this hobby. Since I cannot foresee when she will return, I have made the difficult decision to find him a good new home.

He has three very nice basic gaits, some experience in eventing, and a significant jumping ability, which, however, requires some convincing. As he is more of a Ferrari type, it’s crucial to keep him calm while riding. The rider needs to work primarily with their body and less with the reins, as otherwise he tends to evade rein pressure and may roll up. For this reason, this horse is definitely not suitable for children or beginners. He also enjoys testing his dominance from time to time.

This gelding has a lot of energy, which can sometimes be released in bursts. However, he is very attentive during lunging and never pressures the handler. When ridden, he tries very hard not to buck. He is generally somewhat cautious. He is also very affectionate and enjoys cuddling; he wants to please and do everything right.

He is familiar with dressage work, jumping, ground work, lunging, trail riding, anti-spook training, and long reining.

I am looking for someone willing to take on this challenge, and in the right hands, he is a real diamond in the rough.

He is in excellent health, and the location is more important than the price.
