Finn kommt seinem Vater Gunslingers Velvet Vegas sehr nahe. Gunslingers Velvet Vegas ist gemäß den strengen aktuellen Auflagen des Ursprungszuchtbuches in den USA für die Zuchtzulassung in Europa gekört und hengstleistungsgeprüft. Mit den Ergebnissen der Zuchtprüfungen ist er der bestbewertete und meistgenutzte Missouri Foxtrotter Zuchthengst in Europa (Zuchtklasse I im Spezialzuchtverband für Missouri Foxtrotter European Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Association). Finn ist ebenfalls wie sein Vater: - kompakt, kräftig und harmonisch gebaut - passfreier hochweit gesprungener Galopp - sehr harmonische Bewegungen (viel Rhythmus), bereits auf der Fohlenschau gezeigt - ausgeprägte Hengstausstrahlung - gutmütiger Charakter - sehr arbeitswillig und kooperativ Die Videos belegen schon im Fohlenalter seine Gutmütigkeit und sein Vertrauen zum Menschen. Aufgrund seiner Naturfarbe Fuchs kann bei einer Anpaarung mit doppelt aufgehellten sonnenlichtempfindlichen Stuten das Fohlen nur einmal aufgehellt werden (schwarze statt rosa Hautfarbe). So entsteht z. B. bei der Anpaarung mit einer Cremello, Perlino oder Smoky Cream Stute ein Palomino, Buckskin oder Smoky Black Fohlen. Eine extreme Aufhellung ist bei einer Anpaarung mit einem Fuchs nicht möglich. Da Finn Fuchs ist, kann er das dominante Graugen seines Vaters nicht geerbt haben und folglich auch keinen Schimmel vererben.
