Sterling is an outstanding, Dapple Grey, 6 year old Lusitano gelding! One thing about Sterling, he isn’t your typical Lusitano gelding.
Sterling is one hand broke, has all the trail miles a good horse needs and has explored all over Arizona and California country. Sterling is good with scary obstacles, he has done tons of obstacle trail courses, he isn’t afraid of pool noodles, flags, scary bridges or water boxes.
Sterling rides very sure footed outside on the ranch and has been extensively used on a cattle ranch. He has been to brandings, rounded up yearlings and caught wild cattle.
Sterling will ride the same whether he is solo on a trail ride or in a big group. He doesn’t mind leading the group or hanging in the back.
Sterling will ride one handed in the arena, he has a great neck rein. He has great movement and is super smooth and is floaty! Sterling will ride western and English. He rides in the bridle and stays at the speed you want him to stay at! Not only does Sterling have great transitions in the arena, Sterling has a big stop and a nice turn around.
We have taken Sterling to small schooling shows and he has done excellent! Sterling hauls great in a trailer, he comes off the trailer with no hesitation and is great at new places. Sterling has been to cow sortings and has clocked some good times.
Sterling is that all around family safe gelding not many people find. He would be suitable for all types of levels and is super personable on the ground. Sterling comes with clean Coggins, Health and a Lameness Exam.
