The sire is the genetically valuable VDL Sambucci de Muze, who consistently impresses in young horse and stallion competitions. His first offspring are showing great promise as well, and in this pedigree, he has been combined with the influential Holsteiner damline 18B1 (Farn, Quantum, Alpapillon Armani). Van Halen K shares his granddam with the international 1.60m-level horse Scuderia 1918 Calle Deluxe, ridden by Giulia Martinengo Marquet. His granddam Olana is a full sister to the Grand Prix horse Common Sense, who competed at top level with several riders and took part in the European Championships in Mannheim with Mikhail Safronov. The line then continues through a half-sister of the Holsteiner stallion Calmaro.
