Wünderschöner 4-jähriger Wallach mit Charme

Due to health reasons of the owner, we are reluctantly looking for a new, suitable home for this 4-year-old gelding. He was purchased as a foal, was castrated at the clinic, and has grown up in a herd environment in a species-appropriate manner. He is being sold on behalf of the owner.

Currently, he is unfortunately significantly under-challenged, as there is a lack of consistent work due to time constraints. He is familiar with the saddle and bridle (though he is still a bit difficult when being tacked up) and goes nicely on the lunge line in walk, trot, and canter – even with a saddle. He has worked with rider weight in the saddle while standing two to three times, which he handled calmly and well. However, backing him has not been a topic yet, as there is a lack of routine and time. 

He would therefore be ideal for someone to start right away.

He is very people-oriented, affectionate, and actively seeks closeness – an absolutely friendly character. However, he can also rear when overwhelmed, which is why we are looking for an experienced person with knowledge of young horses who can provide him with the necessary security through calmness, consistency, and patience.

He shows a willingness to learn and wants to work – he just needs "his" person who gives him a meaningful task and supports him consistently. On the maternal side, he comes from a great show jumping lineage. On the paternal side, there are no registered papers, but he is clear-minded and comes from an eventing line.
