Diggins is a 16h 6yo Friesian gelding. Currently a bit sunbleached from the SC sun, but he is still absolutely stunning. In and around the barn this guy is as kind as they come. He is the first to greet you in the field and is always easy to catch. He stands for hours to be groomed and doted over. He loves any treats you may have too. He is a quiet boy that will just hang out with anyone who lets him. He is so smart and he loves to learn new things. In just one session he learned how to smile and how to come over to you at the mounting block or the fence for you to get on. He rides both english and western easily. He has three balanced and oh so comfortable gaits. His canter may be the most comfortable one you ever get to sit to. He has a great whoa where he really will sit on his butt and use himself in the stop like one should. He neck reins easy and moves off your leg well. He responds to voice cues nicely too. He jumps around a course of fences and will jump all the scary fillers. He takes a joke nicely and even when he is not sure of a jump, he never says no. Out of the ring is where he seems to enjoy things the most. He is brave, willing and honest. He rides out alone or with others and will go anywhere you ask him. He crosses water, bridges and will jump the logs. He is great with dogs too. This guy would excel as an event horse, hunter pace mount, hunt horse or simply as a trail horse. He would make an incredible dressage horse as well. He drives as well, unfortunatley I do not have a cart, but I put the harness on him and he went right to work very happily. He knows the driving voice commands, he is light in the lines and respectful. I could go on and on about this special boy, you know everyone always says 'if they could keep them all they would', and I would keep him in a heartbeat if I had the extra time. But he deserves someone with more time to give to him. He loves to be in a program with daily attention and a job. He is perfect after he sits for a few days and of course even better when in daily work too. No maintenance, no vices, and absolutely no lumps bumps or scars anywhere. Four excellent feet that any farrier would love. This guy has it all and anyone will be lucky to have him in their barn.
