Rocky Mountain pony cross
3 yrs old silver black (chocolate with flaxen mane and tail)
Excels in natural horsemanship, ground work, ties, cross ties, bathes. Currently has front shoes; trail rides alone and in groups; crosses logs and poles; rides beside cars. Watch the videos; you can see 4 different riders and different levels of riding. 3 of the riders do the obstacles, and you can see her response. Maple’s favorite ride is the 8-year-old girl. In a controlled environment, Maple was really good. But I would not recommend turning her loose with a small child outside the controlled environment.
She can flat walk for days, still building up to gait. She will trot and canter. She is very athletic and would do well as a very versatile pony.
Very soft mouth, light to no contact
Wears a Kimberwick snaffle with dog bone. Rides English or western, learning to neck rein.
This phenomenal little filly is very talented, high-headed, high-stepping, and fast. She is slow to trust humans; she’s been passed around, but she’s opened up and allowed us into her circle. She’s got about 65 days of riding under her, 30 days of driving. Hasn’t pulled a cart yet, but it will be easy to get her going in that direction.
