Englisches Vollblut, 8 Jährige Stute

With a heavy heart, I am offering my 8-year-old Thoroughbred mare, Monta Rare, for sale. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find a common riding rhythm over the past four years.

Please note: She will not be sold to dealers or riding schools. She is a Thoroughbred racehorse, so she is very energetic and spirited.

Monta is an English Thoroughbred, born in 2017, standing approximately 16.1 hh. She is naturally a somewhat nervous type of horse. Therefore, she needs a rider with a gentle touch but also confident leadership and consistency. She is very willing in the outdoor arena and on cross-country, whether alone or in a group, but she prefers to be quite forward. She knows the indoor arena and the riding paddock but prefers outdoor riding. Show jumping is definitely her forte, although she has not been extensively trained in it. I also see her great potential in eventing, as she is very fearless over jumps. Overall, her background as a racehorse has left her with a few quirks: she sometimes overreacts to leg aids and tends to want to move ahead quickly, but these are trainable with patience. She works very willingly and learns quickly. She is not a kicker or difficult in handling.

• No turnout in winter; currently stabled with daily turnout to pasture or paddock within a herd  
• In May 2025, she suffered laminitis due to incorrect hoof care; since then, she has been shod in front  
• Blood test in April 2025 revealed a selenium deficiency, which is now being supplemented  
• Farrier and veterinarian visits are no problem  
• Loading is not her favorite, but she stands very calmly during transport  

Sold with all accessories, many of which are new (jump saddle, bridle, blankets, halter, etc.).

To prevent trial riding for commercial purposes, I will charge €20 for a test ride, which will be deducted from the purchase price. Serious buyers are welcome to multiple test rides free of charge, by arrangement.  
Priority for me is that she finds a good new home.
