This guy is all that and a bag of chips! Coming to you in a fun-size package with all the fancy buttons and top-tier training, I would like to introduce the one and only Tater Tot.
Tater Tot is the kind of pony that everyone dreams about finding. Standing 13.2 hands with excellent conformation, plenty of bone, and great feet, he’s the perfect size and build for longevity and performance. Best of all, he’s the first one to meet you at the gate and happily lowers his head for grooming and attention. This sweet gelding absolutely adores people and will follow you around like a puppy dog.
Tater Tot originally came from a western pleasure program where he was used for youth lessons and local showing in western pleasure and showmanship. It is obvious he has been loved and well cared for throughout his life.
Under saddle, Tater Tot is everything you could ask for and more. He has an exceptionally comfortable jog and a rocking-chair lope that can be enjoyed all day long on a draped rein. He is soft, responsive, and incredibly easy to ride. He has cute correct spins, a great stop, and ground ties wherever you drop the reins.
His versatility is what truly sets him apart. He has been ridden all over ranches, gathered and sorted cattle, roped the sled, and even jumps English! He is naturally cowy and enjoys having a job to do but is fancy enough for the top hunter and equitation classes. He side-passes to gates with ease and confidently navigates trail obstacles.
Tater Tot has also proven himself outside the ranch environment. He rides English and has been started over jumps at shows! He quietly travels through town traffic and takes motorcycles, bicycles, strollers, crowds, and everyday commotion completely in stride.
On the trail, Tater Tot is as trustworthy as they come. He is happy riding out alone or in a group, will lead or follow, and always comes home on a loose rein. He has been exposed to blowing tarps, gunfire, barking dogs, camels, buffalo, and all sorts of wildlife without batting an eye.
On the ground, he is a pleasure to be around with excellent manners and a kind, willing nature.
Tater Tot is best suited for a small adult or a handy youth rider who can appreciate his training, buttons, and broke feel. He has all the tools to be a truly handy, broke partner for someone looking for a well-trained, versatile pony.
