Odyssey is a 5 year old, 16.2h American Warmblood gelding. He is a total dreamboat with good looks and the best personality. Odyssey is incredibly dependable and consistent, making him an excellent confidence booster, while still being a standout athlete.
Children and adults alike have enjoyed riding Odyssey. His good nature and calm demeanor have quickly made him a favorite in our barn.
Odyssey has visited Tractor Supply and gone through the McDonald’s drive thru (see video). He loves eating snacks and meeting new people. He is sensible in strange environments. He has had kids climb all over him and is unfazed by shenanigans. We have pulled wagons with him, climbed on him from construction equipment, thrown balls off him, and ridden him on the sidewalk.
Odyssey is well broke English and Western. He has three comfortable, adjustable gaits both inside and outside of the ring. He is happy to go trail riding, cross country schooling, cross water and bridges, take a jumping lesson, or show off in the dressage ring. With his western training, he excels in ranch and pleasure work. He is happy to go on a leisurely trail ride one day and tackle a jumping lesson the next. He is always ready to jump on the trailer and go for a ride around town or even go to competitions. He has been ridden in different environments by riders of all levels. He responds well to seat and leg cues and is soft in the bridle.
With his careful jumping style, Odyssey would excel in fox hunting, hunters, eventing, or show jumping. He is brave over all types of jumps and fillers, and he jumps with great style every time. He also has great movement and smooth transitions that would make him a standout in the dressage ring. With his versatility, he can be enjoyed by the whole family. He has smooth, uphill movement that anyone can ride comfortably. Odyssey can help you safely reach your goals as a rider, no matter what you dream of.
On the ground, Odyssey is a big sweetheart. He is good around small children, cats, dogs, goats, farm animals, and construction equipment. He picks up his feet politely and is good for bathing. He lives next to a gun range and is used to loud noises. He is snuggly but never pushy. He loves being groomed and sharing snacks, and would be happy to hang out with you all day. He will always make you smile with his puppy dog personality and his sweet demeanor.
In the field, Odyssey is easygoing in a herd. He can be turned out with others and he is good in a stall. He is easy to catch and usually meets you at the gate. He is good for the vet and farrier and trailers easily. He is an easygoing, no-nonsense kind of guy. He is good to be ridden every day, but also fine with having a week off. No lunging or prep needed.
Odyssey is an easy keeper. He does not currently take any supplements or require maintenance. He has no known vices or issues of any kind. He has great feet and a solid build. No known soundness or health issues.
Horses like this don’t come along often. What makes this horse special is that he is always agreeable and sensible with great manners and incredible athleticism. This is the type of horse you always look forward to seeing and can share with the whole family. Odyssey is ready to be your best friend.
