Lady Mae is a 2021 APHA mare standing 14.1HH.
Lady Mae is a granddaughter of the great APHA stallion COLOR ME SMART, and also has some other great stallions on her papers. Multiple full and half siblings to Lady are money earners in both the roping and show arena. Ride her now, breed her later and capitalize on your investment!
Lady Mae has a solid foundation in the arena and is ready to hit the amateur / green horse circuit! She knows both of her leads, has a correct turn around, drives into her stop and has a balanced simple lead change. She is ready to go on in any direction in the stock horse events and is a more woah than go, push button type of mare. Lady is also absolutely adorable under english tack and is the prime candidate for western dressage, or working equitation. She soft in the bridle, pivots, side passes and backs up with ease. With her maneuvers she can easily complete any type of gate, pole, or bridge obstacle. She is uncomplicated, doesn’t require daily fine tuning, and is perfect for a “weekend warrior”.
Out on the trails, this little mare is a blast! She will ride alone or in a group, and anywhere in the pack. She goes through water, over logs, obstacles and through traffic. You can move cattle on her, enjoy a girls day on the trails, or attend a trail obstacle clinic and truly enjoy your experience and time with Lady Mae. She is beyond willing and up for any task!
Back at the barn, Lady Mae isn’t your typical “Moody mare”. She is very respectful, acts like a gelding and minds her own business. She can be turned out by herself, with others and doesn’t make a peep when you take her away from the herd. She stands tied to be saddle, groomed, bathed and for the farrier. She is currently barefoot, UTD on everything including vaccinations, coggins, dental, trimming, and worming. She loads and unloads easily, and is great in new environments and places. Lady Mae is located with us in Lufkin, Texas and serious parties are welcome to come try her! A basic PPE has been done and available to view, you are also welcome to do your own as well as x-ray at your expense. We can help arrange shipping!
