Quintana is a 2010 Oldenburg mare with a lively character and a kind temperament. She is currently ridden in her leisure time, and this is recommended to continue. She is versatile and can be ridden indoors or outdoors, including on trails when accompanied by a second horse; she does not go alone. 

Quintana is genuinely sweet and very human-oriented, but she is also sensitive. It’s not uncommon for her to startle or become nervous if she perceives something unfamiliar or spooky. We are looking for someone who has plenty of time and love for her, who can challenge her appropriately and has experience with sensitive horses. 

She has no problem with a child or beginner riding her occasionally, but she will not be sold to a beginner. A few years ago, she suffered a tendon injury, which has fully healed, and she has been free of complaints for several years. However, she should no longer be used for jumping. 

She is familiar with box stall, pasture turnout, and 24/7 turnout, all of which she knows well. She will be sold with full equipment, including saddle, bridle, saddle pads, shipping boots, bell boots, grooming supplies, etc.
