Noriker de Silésie

Due to health reasons, I am parting with my 8-year-old gelding. He stands 16.1 hh, is healthy, and has been well-ridden both indoors, on the arena, and in the terrain. Fin requires consistent leadership and, due to his young age, is not suitable as a beginner’s horse. He is alert and eager to learn, doing anything for praise and treats, but is often externally focused and needs correction in such situations. Therefore, he is NOT suitable as a therapy horse (due to high demand) or for insecure riders who only want to enjoy a relaxed ride through the countryside. He needs and wants to be ridden; he has a pronounced forward drive, but no bad manners and is always easy to handle. He is well-suited for riders who, despite his draft horse appearance, prefer a more sporty ride.

He is currently barefoot and wears hoof boots when riding in the terrain. A high-quality Western saddle (Way Out West) is available but not currently in use. Fin should be kept in a herd of geldings; he is familiar with both box stall and open stall, with the latter being preferable for him.

He is confidently ridden at A-level, including lateral movements at walk and trot. He is regularly ridden in the terrain, both alone and in groups. Due to an injury, I am currently unable to present him myself or work with him in the near future, which is why I would like to find him a suitable new home promptly. For me, a good placement takes priority over price. Fin could also remain at his current stable.

Viewing appointments are preferably Monday to Wednesday evenings, when I can organize assistance for the presentation. The saddle can be sold with him upon request.
