Due to lack of time, I am looking to place my 17-year-old Icelandic mare in a loving home. She loves trail rides, is sure-footed and reliable, but is also familiar with riding lessons in the arena. She is five-gaited and shows all five gaits. She is very relaxed to handle, sensitive and responsive in the contact, and tolerates noise, children and dogs. She is well behaved for the farrier and veterinarian. She needs someone who can provide her with regular exercise, a small herd and, ideally, open-stable housing. She has integrated well into every herd so far. A good home is more important than the price. If you provide a telephone number or email address, I will be happy to send videos.
