We are delighted to present the wonderful and successful Gnýr frá Árgerði.

Gnýr first arrived on the continent as a participant in the Nordic Championships in Sweden, and through a fortunate coincidence, he found his way to us at Recherbusch at the beginning of 2019!

In Iceland, Gnýr already has quite a few offspring, not least due to his FIZO Elite evaluation! Notably, he received an 8.5 for proportions such as mane and tail, as well as for his temperament, character, and willingness to move.

This black stallion also impresses through his athletic performance: his signature discipline is the overreach, and he has already achieved overall scores of up to 7.20 in the Tölt test T2! He has been a successful competitor in the Icelandic Championships multiple times in the junior category. He excels not only in T2 but also in five-gait performances (A-Flokkur and F2) as well as in the Pass race.

He scores points not only with his Tölt but also with his quick and secure Pass, expressive trot, confident canter, and especially with his walk, which he demonstrates with great expression and long, flowing steps.

Gnýr descends from Týr frá Árgerði (FIZO total 7.73 as a four-gaited horse), a son of Roði frá Múla, who received the first prize for offspring (FIZO total 8.07). On his dam’s side, Gnýr traces back to Stígandi frá Sauðárkróki (FIZO total 8.15), one of the few stallions to have received the honor of the Award of Merit twice!
