MG Ringo is a 2021 Friesian/AQHA gelding registered with the Friesian Sporthorse Association. He is the perfect size measuring at 15-2-1/2 hands tall and is built thick and stout with good solid feet. Ringo was born and raised on our farm in Kentucky. We own both his sire and dam as well as his full younger brother and several half siblings. As with all our babies he was tought all the basics from leading/tying, feet handling, loading ect before he was weaned and then we started his lightly as a 2-1/2 year old then turned him back out till he was three to finish developing and growing. At three we trail rode him for several months then sent him out to Christine at CCLR in Owanka South Dakota for 75 days where she finished him out with an exceptional handle. He neck reins, has a really good stop, moves off of leg pressure and side passes.
As a four year old we have mostly trail rode him. He is a super fun trail horse deluxe. He will go through and over anything from brush, logs almost as tall as his stomach, up and down steep embankments, through water and rough terrain as well as all kinds of different obstacles on an obstacle course. Riding him next to busy roads and near passing trains does not bother him at all. Ringo has great ground and stable manners. He loads in and out of any type of trailer, stands for the farrier, is easy to clip groom and saddle and he loves getting a bath. He is super goofy and will play with anything that he can play with in his stall or pasture. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and is calm and kind natured. He is ready for anyone to take him and trail ride him but with how well he’s put together and his athleticism he could go into any discipline western or English. He is very willing and aims to please and is easy to teach new things. He is ready to go into any direction you choose.
He currently has shoes on the front and is barefoot in the back. He has up to date coggins and passed a basic PPE. We welcome more extensive PPE’s at your request.
With all his buttons we have never had any inexperienced riders ride him by themselves but we would consider his completely safe for any experienced or intermediate riders.
