Takoda of Steepy Hillock, durch uns Kody genannt, ist ein wunderschönes, ausdrucksstarkes Hengstfohlen in der Sonderfarbe Voll-Leopard mit Grundfarbe schwarz. Seine Tupfen reichen von den Ohrspitzen bis zu den Hufen - sogar die Mähne und der Schweif werden schwarz-weiss werden :-)
Kody kam in der Nacht auf den Pfingstmontag in einer Bilderbuchgeburt ohne Komplikationen zur Welt und fand in Rekordzeit die Handhabung seiner langen Beine heraus, sowie auch den Weg zur Milchbar. Er zeigt sich als neugieriger Bursche und ist nicht ängstlich. Neue Gegenstände erkundet er ohne Furcht, rennt bereits unseren steilen Hügel hinauf und hinunter und insgesamt ist er ein äusserst angenehmes und nicht dominantes Hengstfohlen.
Fohlen aus unserer verantwortungsvollen Hobbyzucht bleiben mindestens 8 Monate bei ihrer Mutter, lernen selbstverständlich das Fohlen ABC und werden bei uns durch die Hofarbeiten automatisch auch an landwirtschaftliche Fahrzeuge, Kinder, Hühner, Katzen und Hunde gewöhnt. Wir beschäftigen uns täglich mit den Fohlen - überall anfassen lassen, striegeln, Hufe anfassen und aufheben, Sprayflasche (mit Wasser!), Wasserschlauch, Plastikplanen, Regenschirme, Sonnenschirme.... wir lassen uns viel einfallen um die Fohlen optimal auf ihr späteres Leben als Freizeitpferde vorzubereiten.

Kody was born on the night of Whit Monday in a textbook, complication-free birth and quickly learned to handle his long legs as well as find his way to the milk bar. He is curious but still somewhat cautious — we see this as thoughtful rather than fearful. He explores new objects without fear, already runs up and down our steep hill, and charmingly greets us with a sweet whinny when we enter the stable.
Foals from our responsible hobby breeding stay with their mothers for at least 8 months, naturally learn the basics of foal handling, and are gradually accustomed to farm equipment, children, chickens, cats, and dogs through our daily farm chores. We work with the foals every day — handling them everywhere, grooming, picking up their hooves, using sprays (with water!), hoses, plastic sheets, umbrellas, and sunshades... We do everything to prepare the foals optimally for their future as leisure horses.

Takoda de Steepy Hillock, conocido como Kody por nosotros, es un hermoso potro expresivo de color especial full-leopard con base negra. Sus manchas van desde las puntas de las orejas hasta las patas, ¡incluso la crin y la cola serán en blanco y negro! :-)
Kody nació en la noche del lunes de Pentecostés, en un parto de cuento sin complicaciones, y en tiempo récord aprendió a manejar sus largas patas y a buscar la teta. Se muestra como un potrillo curioso, aunque aún algo cauteloso; sin embargo, lo percibimos más como sensato que temeroso. Explora sin miedo objetos nuevos, ya corre cuesta arriba y abajo por nuestra empinada colina, y nos recibe con un dulce relincho cuando entramos en el establo.
Los potros de nuestra cría aficionada responsable permanecen con su madre al menos 8 meses, aprenden, por supuesto, el ABC del potrillo y, mediante las tareas diarias en la granja, también se familiarizan con vehículos agrícolas, niños, gallinas, gatos y perros. Nos dedicamos a los potros todos los días: los tocamos por todas partes, los cepillamos, manipulamos sus patas, les levantamos los cascos, usamos botellas de spray (¡con agua!), mangueras, lonas de plástico, paraguas, sombrillas... buscamos muchas formas de prepararlos de manera óptima para su futura vida como caballos de ocio.

We do everything to prepare them optimally for their future as leisure horses.

Takoda of Steepy Hillock, bij ons Kody genoemd, is een prachtige, expressieve hengstveulens in de speciale kleur vol-leopard met een zwarte basiskleur. Zijn vlekken lopen van de oren tot aan de hoeven – zelfs zijn manen en staart worden zwart-wit :-)
Kody werd op paasmaandagnacht geboren in een sprookjesachtige bevalling zonder complicaties en vond in recordtijd de weg naar zijn lange benen en naar de melkbar. Hij toont zich als een nieuwsgierige, maar nog wat voorzichtige jongeman – wij zien dat eerder als verstandig dan angstig. Nieuwe voorwerpen verkent hij zonder angst, hij rent al onze steile heuvel op en af, en hij begroet ons charmant met een lief hinniken wanneer we de stal binnenkomen.
Veulens uit onze verantwoordelijke hobbyfokkerij blijven minimaal 8 maanden bij hun moeder, leren vanzelfsprekend de basis van het veulens ABC en worden bij ons automatisch gewend aan landbouwvoertuigen, kinderen, kippen, katten en honden door de werkzaamheden op de boerderij. We besteden dagelijks tijd aan de veulens – ze overal laten aanraken, borstelen, hoeven aanraken en optillen, spuitfles (met water!), waterslang, plastic zeilen, paraplu’s, zonneschermen… we bedenken allerlei manieren om de veulens optimaal voor te bereiden op hun latere leven als recreatiepaarden.

Takoda z Steepy Hillock, nazywany przez nas Kody, jest przepięknym, wyrazistym ogierkiem w unikalnym umaszczeniu pełnego leopardowego wzoru na czarnym tle. Jego plamy sięgają od czubków uszu aż po kopyta – nawet grzywa i ogon będą czarno-białe :-)
Kody przyszedł na świat w noc wielkanocnego poniedziałku, bez komplikacji, jak z obrazka, i w rekordowym czasie opanował poruszanie się na długich nogach oraz drogę do mlecznej bazy. Wykazuje się ciekawością i nie jest lękliwy. Nowe przedmioty eksploruje bez obaw, już wspina się i schodzi po naszym stromym wzgórzu, a ogólnie jest bardzo przyjemnym i nie dominującym ogierkiem.
Konie od naszej odpowiedzialnej, pasjonackiej hodowli pozostają co najmniej 8 miesięcy z matką, uczą się podstawowych rzeczy, a przy tym naturalnie oswajają się z pracami na gospodarstwie, maszynami rolniczymi, dziećmi, kurami, kotami i psami. Codziennie zajmujemy się młodymi – pozwalamy je dotykać wszędzie, czeszemy, podnosimy kopyta, spryskujemy wodą, używamy węża ogrodowego, plastikowych plandek, parasoli, parasoli przeciwsłonecznych... staramy się jak najlepiej przygotować je do przyszłego życia jako konie rekreacyjne.
