Sage is a 10-year-old registered APHA Bay Roan mare standing 15.1 hands tall. She is a gentle, dependable mare that has been ridden all over and has the experience to go just about anywhere you point her. We have ridden her on mountain trails, through water, down roads, and around livestock, and she handles it all with a quiet, willing attitude.
Sage is traffic safe and is comfortable around cars, trucks, dogs, cattle, sheep, and everyday ranch and trail activity. She crosses water willingly, is sure-footed in rough country, and is not the spooky type. She has a calm mind and takes new situations in stride.
She has been ridden by kids and adults and is the kind of horse that gives her rider confidence. You can easily get on and off of her on the trail, and she stands quietly when asked. She rides out alone or with a group and is happy leading, following, or riding in the middle.
Sage has a smooth walk, comfortable trot, and nice lope. She is easy to catch, loads and trailers well, and is a pleasure to have around the barn. She has been a trustworthy partner for us and has always been willing to go wherever she is asked.
