Rooster – Stunning AES registered palomino colt – £3,000 ono

Rooster is a lovely, unusual young colt, born 06/05/2025.

He is by GFS Man in the Moon (Akhal-Teke/Warmblood) and out of a registered Irish Sport Horse mare, and is AES registered.

He’s currently just over 14hh, but has plenty of growing to do and is expected to make 17hh+.

Rooster has the most beautiful Akhal-Teke sheen to his coat, which really catches the light. He’s a gorgeous palomino and has a real presence about him. It’s not often you come across a youngster that could potentially make such a big palomino, particularly with his breeding.

Most importantly, he has an outstanding temperament. He is a very friendly, people-oriented youngster and genuinely enjoys attention and being around people.

He’s green and started, having had some basic training and turning really nicely. He’s handled daily, halter trained and used to having his feet picked up. He’s good with the farrier and is up to date with his vaccinations.

As with any young colt, he can push his luck sometimes, so he needs a confident, experienced handler who understands youngsters and will continue to give him clear and consistent boundaries. He isn’t suitable for an inexperienced handler or as a first horse.

Rooster is currently entire. One testicle has descended, but the second has not yet dropped and wasn’t palpable at his last veterinary examination. The vet also noted a cosmetic vein on the left side. We have the veterinary report and are happy to provide it to genuinely interested buyers.

He’s a very special youngster with a lot of potential and we want to find him a knowledgeable, experienced home where he can continue to learn and develop.
